Alexis Sanchez delivered a timely performance as he scored twice for Arsenal at Crystal Palace.

The Chilean continues to be linked with a move away from Arsenal after a switch to Manchester City fell through in the summer.

Mirror Sport revealed last week that City are ready to wait until the summer to get Sanchez on a free transfer, with his deal expiring at the end of the campaign.

But with PSG monitoring the situation, there are suggestions he could get his move in January - despite Arsene Wenger's belief he will see out the season.

Sanchez was in fine form at Selhurst Park, scoring twice early in the second-half.

His first was a fine finish past Julian Speroni, after excellent link-up play with Alexandre Lacazette.

It took him just minutes to get his second, and Arsenal's third, latching on to Jack Wilshere's pass before beating Speroni.

And for some Arsenal fans, it was all too much of a coincidence that he put on one of his best performances for months.
