When you think of Marouane Chamakh you think Arsenal - maybe a bit of Crystal Palace - and when you think of Ivan Rakitic you think Barcelona.
So it is bizarre to then think of Chamakh being teammates with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and Rakitic lining up alongside former Real Madrid playmaker and current Arsenal star Mesut Ozil. But they both did.
Just for fun we've had a little look back at a few CVs to bring you 10 players you, at the very least, forgot played together at some point. Enjoy.
Dele Alli and Alan Smith - MK Dons
Before Alli was taking the world by storm at Tottenham he was developing as a player at MK Dons, where he was born and bred. Smith's career on the other hand was winding down when the two crossed paths.
Sergio Aguero and David De Gea - Atletico Madrid
One you probably knew, but likely forgot about. Today it's hard to think of Aguero anywhere else than Manchester City, let alone playing in the same team as a Manchester United legend. Suppose you could say the same thing in reverse too.
Marouane Chamakh and Mauricio Pochettino - Bordeaux
Right, we're confident you did not see this one coming... well, if you didn't read it in the introduction that is. Before joining Arsenal and setting the world alight (not quite) Chamakh was at Bordeaux playing alongside a man who would become one hell of a good manager, Pochettino.
Aaron Ramsey and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - Cardiff City
Who did Hasselbaink play for? Well, Chelsea and Leeds of course. And Ramsey? Well Arsenal... right? Here are another duo who you more than likely forgot played together when Ramsey was starting out and Hasselbaink was winding down. They crossed over in 2007.
Dimitri Payet and Joe Cole - Lille
They both played for West Ham, but at completely different times. But that doesn't mean to say Cole and Payet didn't line-up together on a football pitch, on no. In fact they did exactly that at Lille. Small world.
David Beckham and David Moyes - Preston
Another bizarre one given the fact that Beckham is considered a god amongst men on the back of his career in the beautiful game while Moyes had more luck as a manager than a player... sort of. But the pair did briefly line-up alongside one another when Beckham was on loan at Preston.
Ivan Rakitic and Mesut Ozil - Schalke
Today Rakitic is a household name in Barcelona, while Ozil, was once a big name at Real Madrid. But before the duo went their separate ways to represent Spain's two big teams, they lined up alongside each other at Schalke.
Emmanuel Adebayor and Patrice Evra - Monaco
They're a duo who have played for a number of teams - especially Adebayor in the Premier League, where they didn't cross paths - but you never knew lined-up together... until now... for three whole years in fact.
Jordi Alba and Isco - Valencia
Ok they're both Spanish, but we're talking about lining up for a club team. Like Ozil and Rakitic, these two played together early in their careers before Alba ended up at Barcelona and Isco at Real Madrid.
Juan Mata and David Silva - Valencia
Again, like the above, these two have played alongside each other for Spain. And again similar to the above they were once best pals at Valenica. Today however they represent rival clubs in Manchester United and Manchester City.
