West Ham pulled off a stunning comeback against their London rivals to progress to the Carabao Cup quarter finals.

Tottenham had taken a two-goal half time lead as Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli has eased rampant Spurs ahead.

But Andre Ayew's double and Angelo Ogbonna's powerful header capped a wonderful comeback to shock the Wembley faithful.

Do West Ham the spirit to survive?

Yes – judged on their first 25 minutes of the second half.

The tepid first half was forgotten. They scrapped, they ran, they found resources of energy that were so sadly lacking in the first half.

At half-pace, Spurs established a two-goal lead. In the second half – inspired by Mark Noble – West Ham showed character, guts and a will-to-win.

Are Spurs taking the Carabao Cup seriously?

Not any more. Their line up would suggest they were. Their second half performance not so much. They were suspect at best as they wilted under the West Ham revival. True, they had class in every position and in 19-year-old Juan Foyth they have a real prospect for the future. But when the pressure was on, the proven names went missing.

Is Danny Rose now back in contention for club and country?

Too true. Made his return as left wing back and it was like he has never been away.

Tough to shake off the ball and has the pace and know-how to make use of it.

A definite plus for Spurs – and for England come to that.

Is Andy Carroll the man to save Slaven Bilic?

Let's get it right. We are talking Andy Carroll not Marco van Basten.

Carroll's strength is and always has been the aerial threat he poses. Pick Carroll and you must give him the ammo.

More than 20 minutes had gone before there was a meaningful ball played up to him and even longer before he had a cross to attack.

Is Son now beginning to blossom at Spurs ?

Too true. His running now has a purpose.

His energy now has direction and West Ham struggled to contain him. His ball to Sissoko was superb for the opening goal. A menace.
