Olivier Giroud looks to have played his last match for Arsenal as he waved his goodbyes to fans in emotional scenes after the side’s 3-1 defeat at Swansea.

The forward is understood to be on the brink of an £18million move to Chelsea this January and it’s expected that the deal will be officially announced on Wednesday.

Some reports suggested that Giroud would be left out of Arsenal’s squad for the trip to the Liberty Stadium but the Frenchman was named on the bench for the Premier League clash.

Giroud will have been disappointed come on in such dire circumstances for his final appearance in Arsenal colours as his side slumped to a dismal defeat.

Nacho Monreal opened the scoring for the Gunners before goals from Sam Clucas (2) and Jordan Ayew sealed a memorable win for the Swans.
