Crystal Palace welcome Watford to Selhurst Park in the midweek Premier League fixtures.

The Eagles dropped two valuable points against Bournemouth with the game’s main controversy revolving around Christian Benteke’s missed penalty in injury time.

The game was poised at 2-2, however Benteke took the ball away from assigned penalty-taker Luka Milivojevic who had already scored from the spot earlier in the game.

This left his fellow players, management and fans bemused and incensed, as the former Aston Villa striker fluffed his penalty.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson even had to go over to a fan and explain why Benteke had taken the penalty against his wishes.

The Eagles have won four of their last six games against Watford – including play-off and FA Cup success at Wembley – and could move out of the relegation zone with a win.

Watford will be looking to respond after losing to the impressive Burnley  at the weekend.
