Manchester United saw through a tense final ten minutes at Watford, but the pressure clearly got to Jose Mourinho in the closing stages.

Watford fought back to 3-2 before a brilliant solo run from Jesse Lingard made sure of the three points in the 86th minute.

Despite going 4-2 down, Watford still piled on the pressure in the closing minutes and Mourinho was as animated as ever on the touchline.

The ball went out for a throw-in and Mourinho was clearly unhappy with Marcus Rashford’s attempts to get back in position.

The United boss raced onto the pitch from his spot on the bench to scream at Rashford, who quickly sprinted away.

It was a typical reaction from Mourinho who saw his side suffer a severe slump in the second half.

Romelu Lukaku missed two good chances before Marcos Rojo brought down Roberto Pereyra in the box to give away a penalty.

Troy Deeney dispatched the spot-kick before Abdoulaye Doucoure struck to cut the deficit down to just one goal.

Mourinho’s passion got him in trouble earlier in the season when he was sent to the stands for encroaching on the pitch against Southampton.

While Mourinho may have been unhappy with Rashford, he was delighted with Lingard’s contribution.

Lingard’s goal settled the nerves and the attacker explained what prompted him to go on the dazzling run.
