Manchester United are ready to sell Luke Shaw for £20 million in the January transfer window, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has failed to make United’s matchday squad for a Premier League fixture this season and has made just two appearances as a second-half substitute in the Carabao Cup.

The Times claim that Jose Mourinho has told United’s hierarchy that Shaw has no future at Old Trafford, and the club are now ready to cut their losses by selling the left-back in the upcoming window.

The report also claims that United are hopeful of finding a club who will meet their £20m asking price and have already received interest from Fenerbahce, although Shaw has no interest in moving to Turkey.

Mourinho is keen to offload Shaw as quickly as possible, reports claim that United have activated a clause in the defender’s contract which has extended his deal until 2019.

Shaw’s initial deal was due to expire next summer, but with a year’s extension, United are now able to command a higher transfer fee in January.

The Daily Telegraph claim that Chelsea and Arsenal are both keeping tabs on Shaw’s situation and could consider a move.
