Chelsea defender Victor Moses has taken a major step in his recovery from injury.

The Blues wing-back has been out of action since the shock 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace last month, with his absence sorely felt.

Antonio Conte’s side, normally so solid defensively, have shipped 10 goals in the six and a half games since Moses hobbled off with a hamstring injury.

Speaking about Moses’ injury last week, Conte said: ‘We have to wait and have patience. He needs more time before he recovers.’

It seems though that the Nigerian is closing in on a return to action having taken part in his first outdoor training session since his injury.

The 26-year-old tweeted images of himself being put through his paces, along with the message: ‘Good to be back training outside.’

Chelsea resume their season after the international break with a game away at West Brom.
