Oh Eric, never bet too big! And NEVER brag about it on Twitter!
Darts legend Eric Bristow has had an absolute shocker, trying to earn himself a cheeky grand on Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
Bristow boasted on Twitter prior to the game that he had laid down a huge £3,300 on a win for the La Liga giants – in order for him to earn ‘easy money’ but Zinedine Zidane’s side came up short as they could only manage a draw.
An own goal from Rafael Varane gave Spurs the lead before a Cristiano Ronaldo ensured the spoils were shared – although that result was no good for Bristow.
He posted before the match: ‘Just had £3,300 to win £1,200 on Real Madrid to beat Tottenham easy money.’
And it proved to be easy money for the bookies…
What a nightmare!
