There’s one name on every Manchester United fans’ lips when discussing the most exciting academy prospect currently at the club: Angel Gomes.
The 17-year-old ace – who is the cousin of former United winger Luis Nani – has featured off the bench under Jose Mourinho once before but he has yet to be given the chance to truly shine in the first team.
When he replaced Wayne Rooney in a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace, he became the youngest player to feature for the Red Devils in the Premier League era and United supporters are convinced there will be plenty more to come from the talented teen.
There’s almost an expectation of when rather than if he breaks into the first-team squad on a regular basis and his latest wonder-goal has reignited talk of him pushing for action again soon.
