Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is stalling on a new deal at Old Trafford and the club must convince him that his long-term future is in the north-west.

The Belgian has a year left on his current deal at the Theatre of Dreams and Jose Mourinho is desperate for him to sign a new contract.

United activated a one-year extension to the midfielder’s contract last year but the 30-year-old knows this will be his last big contract in football.

Fellaini’s been a revelation for United this term and is behind only Romelu Lukaku in the scoring charts at the club.

Fellaini was heavily linked with a move to Turkey in the summer but Mourinho responded to the speculation by claiming: ‘It’s easier for Galatasaray to get me than Marouane’.

Mourinho clearly values Fellaini but he’s unsure yet over whether to stay at the club, according to Yahoo.

Though the midfielder has enjoyed his four years at Old Trafford, he knows a lucrative move to Turkey could set him up for life.
