Former Real Madrid ace Christoph Metzelder believes Jurgen Klopp is the perfect man to take over at Bayern Munich and is ‘ready to manage’ the Bundesliga giants.

Carlo Ancelotti was fired last week after the side’s 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League group stages.

Bayern are hopeful of appointing a successor during the international break and former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has been touted as a viable option.

However, Metzelder – who played for both Real Madrid and Dortmund – says Klopp is the man for the job.

‘From my point of view, Jurgen Klopp would be ready,’ Metzelder told Sky Germany.

‘He is a top man-manager and could make the complex power relationship work wonderfully’

‘[Julian] Nagelsmann is an outstanding trainer, but Bayern Munich is of course a different size [club to Hoffenheim]’

Klopp signed a six-year deal with Liverpool in 2016 and the Reds would reject any interest in the German boss.

The 50-year-old spent seven years with Bayern’s rivals, Dortmund, and won the Bundesliga title on two occasions.
