Lucas Perez sent a classy message to Arsenal supporters on Instagram after completing a loan move to Deportivo.

The Spaniard joined the Gunners from Deportivo last summer but failed to establish himself as a first-team regular and has rejoined his former club on a season-long loan.

Perez made just nine starts for Arsenal last season but still managed to score seven goals – including a hat-trick in the Champions League.

However, he wanted first-team football in the run-up to next summer’s World Cup and he took to Instagram after sealing his move to thank Arsenal fans.

‘I want to thank all supporters, teammates and Arsenal’s staff for all the affection shown since the first day and the fact of achieving dreams together with them,’ said Perez.

‘I’ve met an incredible club and city. I wish you the best for this season.

‘See you soon. #YaGunnersYa #COYG @Arsenal’
