Arsenal are ready to submit a £20 million offer for RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg, according to reports.

The Sunday Mirror claims that Arsene Wenger is looking to strengthen his squad this summer and Forsberg is one of the players on his shortlist.

The 25-year-old has been one of the top performers in the Bundesliga this season and has been a major factor behind RB Leipzig’s excellent campaign.

So far this term, Forsberg has eight goals and 15 assists in 25 league appearances.

And that record outshines that of Mesut Ozil, who has seven goals and six assists in 26 Premier League games this season.

Forsberg has been hailed as Europe’s ‘assist king’ because he has set up more goals than any other player in the top five divisions on the continent this season.

Forsberg, who has 25 caps for Sweden, still has five years remaining on his current contract with RB Leipzig.
