Liverpool have been dealt a huge transfer blow as Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto is reportedly set to snub them.

The Reds approached the stopper a few days ago in an attempt to sign him on a free transfer in the summer but Juventus have swooped in to steal the deal, according to the Daily Express.

Juve see the 25-year-old Brazilian as the heir to Gianluigi Buffon’s goalkeeping throne.

The news will disappoint Brendan Rogers who is keen to replace Simon Mignolet after the Belgian’s poor form earlier in the season.
