Fernando Torres has posted a heart-warming message on Instagram after featuring in Steven Gerrard’s charity match at Anfield.
The Atletico Madrid striker was keen to offer his thanks to Liverpool fans for how they treated him during his stay at the club.
Despite the Spaniard ditching the Kop for Chelsea he is remembered fondly by the Scouse faithful and was given a warm reception from the crowd.
Torres didn’t manage to grab a goal in the 2-2 draw between Carragher and Gerrard’s sides but he did manage to pass on his love for the supporters.
