Luke Shaw has been tipped as a future England star (Picture: Getty)

Southampton youngster Luke Shaw is believed to have told the club he is not interested in a January move to Chelsea or Manchester United.

The Premier League duo have both been linked with the highly-rated left-back, with both looking for long-term solutions in the position.

But despite the opportunity to play Champions League football and challenge for domestic honours with this summer’s World Cup approaching, Shaw insists he is happy to stay at St Mary’s.

Shaw is the latest in a crop of talented youngsters to come through the ranks at the south coast club, with the likes of Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain preceding him.

And it is thought Southampton chairman Nicola Cortese is ready to reject all offers for the 18-year-old, who has made 17 appearances this term.
