Tottenham have taken steps to improve the club’s ticketing operation after experiencing teething problems since the move to Wembley.

Spurs supporters have complained about long waits to buy tickets online and over the phone since moving to the 90,000-seater national stadium, where they will spend at least a year while their new 61,500-capacity home is being built.

The club has acknowledged the need for increased resources since leaving White Hart Lane, which had a capacity of 36,284, and they have responded with changes.

The online sales system has been boosted by the addition of new servers, while new members of staff have joined both the ticketing and customer-service departments in a bid to improve the efficiency and fairness of ticket sales.

The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust said it hoped the changes would filter down to fans "in the very near future", following a meeting with the club.

Spurs have confirmed that Wembley’s top tier will not be open for the EFL Cup fourth-round match against West Ham on October 25, meaning the capacity will be restricted to 70,000.
