Jose Mourinho’s chastising of “Playstation football” will be in the back of Manchester United players’ minds when they take on CSKA Moscow tonight, admits Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

United boss Mourinho was furious in spite of 3-0 win against Basle in their Champions League opener earlier this month, claiming his side professionalism had vanished after they took a 2-0 lead early in the second half.

Mkhitaryan is convinced his team-mates will not forget his comments in a hurry.

“Of course, everyone knows that Jose Mourinho is very demanding and what he said was right,” the midfielder said ahead of the Champions League tie.

“He didn’t exactly say names but everyone thinks they have done something bad or made a mistake.

“We are trying to improve that aspect and stay more focused during the game and not be doing fantasy football or PlayStation, as he said, in the last 25 minutes.”

Mourinho faces what he termed a “difficult situation” in Moscow, with midfielders Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini all carrying injuries.
