Frank de Boer has described Crystal Palace's Premier League clash with Swansea as "must-win" following their slow start to the campaign.

Palace have suffered back-to-back league defeats since the summer arrival of manager De Boer, failing to score in both matches.

The Dutchman thinks the surprise 3-0 home loss to newly-promoted Huddersfield on the opening weekend has increased the early-season pressure on his players and is keen to alleviate that by securing a first victory on Saturday.

"Of course it's a must-win," he said. "Also for Swansea I think it is.

"Huddersfield Town at home, you expect at least a minimum of a point. And normally when you start against (a promoted team), you want three points. That was a very bad result for us.

"Then after two games we are still without points. Nobody likes it.

"We are wanting to change that as quickly as possible, but, when you don't win, the pressure you have to win comes every time closer and closer."

The Swans are a point better off ahead of their visit to Selhurst Park, although they are also yet to find the back of the net.

De Boer admires the style of Paul Clement's side and believes they have some talented players.

"I think Swansea's always a team that I love to watch," he said. "Normally because they play very organised football, normally a lot on the floor.

"They also have maybe some difficulties right now, but still it's a very good squad and we respect them very much.

"We have to do our own job to get our results."

While De Boer's attention is fully focused on this weekend's match, he hopes to add to his squad before the transfer window closes next week.

"One hundred per cent my phone will be charged," he added. "That's why I have two telephones, if they cannot reach me on the other one, then they have to try the other one.

"I think we still need some players. If some players get injured then it (the squad) is getting a little bit narrow.

"We are hopeful that we are able to get some players, but it's not the worry right now, now is the worry Swansea."
