Few players are as well-placed as William Gallas to run the rule over London’s biggest sides… and he is convinced that Chelsea are the capital’s top dogs.

Over 12 years in the Premier League Gallas turned out for all three of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, winning two Premier League titles and an FA Cup with the Blues.

Arsene Wenger yesterday claimed he had no concerns over rumours of Alexis Sanchez making a cross-capital switch from Arsenal to Chelsea because, as far as he was concerned, “there’s only one team in London”.

However Wenger’s former Arsenal captain Gallas begs to differ.

Wenger coy on Arsenal future

“The biggest team is Chelsea,” Gallas told Talksport. “They are top of the league and maybe they will win the league.

“They have won the Premier League four times already so if you have to compare Tottenham and Arsenal, I think Chelsea are the top team in London because they have won as well the Champions League.”
