Big loss but Liverpool should have a squad that can deal with the inevitable loss of key players throughout a season.

Not sure we do have though.

FFS!  But, it  is what it is.
Step up AOC. Also, Lallana is expected to be training with the team by the end of this month.

We managed to scrape through to a CL spot without him during the final stretch of last season.

Big loss but to be honest he's been as garbage as anyone else recently, albeit he's only played 2 or 3 games since the Citeh red card

Mane out for six weeks? Same sh*t, different season... at least we prepared and have Oxlade-Chamberlain this time round; right? 🙁

I'm quite hesitate to raise the youngster name here, but I'd happy like pig in sh*t if Harry Wilson get some chance from the bench during Sadio absent.

You and me both brother. If not him than maybe Benny can get some run at MF when Couts moves up to the left.

I quite like that shout but honestly only when Lallana is back. With the small amount of influence Wijnaldum is having and the alarming lack of touches the lad has I wouldn't want the responsibility to be on Woodburn's shoulders.

While it's gutting that Sadio is out, and for 9 games too, we are much more able to cover his absence this time.

It's most likely to be Cou that will go wide, but don't be at all suprised if we see this:

                      Solanke
          Coutinho          Salah
                Firmino Wijnaldum
                     Henderson
       Moreno Lovren Matip Gomez
                       Migs

Bobby showed, when Solanke came on, that him and the young lad already had good movement between them and to me, although people say we shouldn't be relying on a young lad so soon I actually prefer him to Sturridge and the level of movement, threat, pace and quite frankly guts he shows impresses me so far.

I'd happily go to war with that front 4.

A Cape Verde equivalent quality league team would not get in the premier league, probably would not get in the league period, so I don't think it is comparable.

??? Think you missed the point

      F***ing International Football.
I think that all International Football should take place in the gaps between the end of the season and pre-season....; Without the breaks for International Football the season would be shorter giving more time for those games

Technically a ref can blow the whistle for Obstruction and give a free kick.

Impeding the progress of an opponent means moving into the opponent’s path to obstruct, block, slow down or force a change of direction when the ball is not within playing distance of either player.

      http://theifab.com/laws/fouls-and-misconduct/chapters/indirect-free-kick

If I were Klopp, I would tell him not to repeat that.
      It's not genius.

EDIT: Looked again and he is not really slowing anyone down.
I think obstruction he may have to run slower before whistle is blown.

So why are defenders allowed to screen a ball out of play, why is that not obstruction?

I didn't miss the point. PL v PL is a lot different than Senegal v Cape Verde.
Do you think we would be able to rest players 2-0 against Halifax town?
Please don't try to make out people missed the point, just because your point is irrelevant.

You do miss the point..... You are compering Senegal v Cape Verde as if it makes a difference... In the 2002 World Cup after winning the World Cup in 1998 beating Brazil in the finals and the Euro's 2000 beating Italy France were knocked out of their group after failing to win a single game, which included a lost in the first game to Senegal  :o You could hardly put Senegal in the same league as France

The point being... It is football and anything can happen..... Stoke putting 6 past us...??

It's hardly surprising to most of us. We were crying out loud for the lack of depth in pre-season.

While there is a refusal to feed the asset that is LFC this fuckuppery of us depending on a sole target man will continue.

Why did Mourinho  and a host of other teams park the bus in the certain knowledge that tactic will be our undoing.

The world and his F***ing wife know we are devoid of attacking options, so much so the counter strategy is schoolboy stuff - blanket defence will get you a goal on the break or at least a point,

Won't win the Prem with a refusal to commit financially to the club and any thoughts of glory in Europe are fantasy.

Injured him once.  Want to have another go at it.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has been included in Senegal's squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers despite his existing hamstring strain.

Mane had been an injury doubt for the home and away games against South Africa on 10 and 14 November.

"In my mind, there is no doubt he will be us for the double header against South Africa and that he will be 100% fit," said Senegal coach Aliou Cisse.

Liverpool said the forward could be out for up to six weeks on 10 October.

Three days earlier, he had damaged his hamstring in the 2-0 win over Cape Verde in Praia and was substituted in the 89th minute.

"Until now, he has just been doing some individual training - running in straight lines - but from next week, he is going to train harder and start working with the ball," added former Birmingham City midfielder Cisse.

It is unclear when Mane will return to action, having already missed Liverpool's Premier League draw with Manchester United and the 7-0 thrashing of Maribor in the Champions League.

So doyou reckon he will miss 9 matches for us and then make his return, not for us, but for Senegal, with two matches in four days?

I know these are important matches for them but, surely they should have some regard for his long-term well being.
