James McClean's house 'robbed' during West Brom's defeat to West Ham

The Ireland star put the Baggies ahead at the London Stadium last night but an Andy Carroll brace - with the second goal coming in the 94th minute - secured the Hammers all three points and kept West Brom 19th in the table.

McClean, who was criticised by manager Alan Pardew for his own goal in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal last Sunday, bounced back well last night, but while he was in London with his team, his house was 'robbed'.

The midfielder posted a video on Instagram sharing the news, saying:

'When you get home from a last min defeat and your house has been robbed... thieving smelly b******s! Great night!'

McClean enjoyed a memorable 2017, scoring the winning goal in Cardiff against Wales that propelled Ireland into a World Cup playoff, where they were heavily defeated by Denmark. The 28-year-old's performances in green saw him win the RTÉ Sportsperson of the Year award.

West Brom are now four points behind Southampton in 17th place, and face Exeter City in the FA Cup this Saturday.
