'There is a division in the team' - Thierry Henry suspects Arsenal dressing room is divided

Half of the Arsenal team refused to celebrate with Sanchez after he scored two goals in the Gunners 3-2 win at Crystal Palace, with Henry suggesting the curious celebrations were evidence of a split in Arsene Wenger's Gunners squad.

"There is a division in the team," declared Henry on Sky Sports, in comments that may not be welcomed by his former boss.

"You're not here for Alexis Sanchez, you're here for Arsenal. Arsenal scored. Go and celebrate. Whoever does it, we don't care about that, go and celebrate with your team-mate.

"Maybe we are reading too much into it but I noticed it. Sanchez made me notice it. It was like he thought he was alone."

Henry's fellow Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness echoed Henry's sentiments, as he suggested Arsenal's players are not fighting in unison.

"That tells you there is a divided dressing room," he said. "That shows they aren't having Sanchez at the moment.

"I only see that teams are 5-1 up, not 2-1 up. You are elated, you have just scored a goal. It is clear there is a dynamic in the dressing room that all is not well.

"He is asking them to come. 'Why are they not coming? Don't you want to celebrate?'

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stressed he is not concerned about losing Sanchez in next month's transfer window despite claims of renewed interest from Manchester City.

"I am not fearful, but as you said that will be a subject that arises because of his contractual situation," he said. "I can only repeat what I said until now. We don't want him to leave.

"I never questioned his commitment but when you have his contract situation and have as a good a game, people question you."
