'This kid is the real deal' - Roy Keane predicts Harry Kane is ready to join the game's elite list

Roy Keane has hailed Tottenham striker Harry Kane as a ‘world class’ performer and suggested he could join Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the game’s greats.
Kane has scored 29 goals in 2017, which is the same total compiled by Ronaldo in a year when he is on course to claim the crown as the world’s best player once again.
Now former Manchester United captain Keane has claimed the England forward is on course to be a contender for the annual Ballon d’Or prize that crowns the game’s best player in the near future.
When asked on ITV Sport whether Kane should already be in the world class bracket, he offered up this response: “I think he is and if he keeps improving the way he is doing, he will be up there with the Ronaldo’s in another years.
“Kane is outstanding. His overall play, hold-up play and his movement, this kid is the real deal.
“He needs to be in the latters stages of the Champions League for that to happen, but the rate he is going at, baring injury, he will be up there with the best.”
Keane - who was a Tottenham fan in his youth - has often been highly critical of the north London club in his role as a TV pundit, but he was impressed by their display in their 3-1 Champions League win against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night as they picked up a first win of the season at their temporary Wembley home.
“I thought they were excellent,” he added of Mauricio Pochettino’s side. “There was a lot of pressure hanging over Tottenham with this Wembley hoodoo hanging over them, but they created chances and played well.”
