Arsenal have unveiled their new third kit for the upcoming 2017/18 season.

The club are currently in Sydney on the first leg of their pre-season tour of Australia and China.

New signing Alexandre Lacazette joined his new teammates in modelling the jet black kit in an atmospheric photoshoot in front of the Sydney Opera House.

Arsenal's new alternative strip is completely black with pink trimming around the collar.

Alexis Sanchez, who has not joined the club in Australia, helped promote the kit in promotional shots for Puma, despite ongoing speculation on his future at the club.

The Chilean, who has one year left remaining on his contract at the Emirates, is a transfer target for Manchester City and is yet to indicate whether he will sign a new deal.

Speaking at the launch of the club's new kit in Sydney, Mesut Ozil admitted he hoped his teammate would decide to remain at the club.

"I hope Alexis stays but I don’t know what the status is to be perfectly honest," said the Germany international.

"But I value him a lot as a player and he’s very well-suited to the game Arsenal play.

"From a personal view I would really appreciate it if he stays. However, it’s the player’s decision after all and there’s not much more I can comment on that.

"It would hit the team quite hard if he left because he’s a player who always delivers. It would be a setback to winning the title but in the end, it’s the player’s decision."

On Tuesday, Arsene Wenger gave the clearest indication yet that he is ready to keep the 28-year-old at Arsenal and let his contract run out.

"Yes, that is a continuation of what I said at the end of the season. That's what we will do," Wenger said.

"He adds great value to the squad and I think as well he is a great lover of the club.

"The players have contracts and we expect them to respect their contracts. That's what we want," Wenger explained.

"Nobody knows today if Sanchez will be on his final year of his contract next season, because he can extend his contract with us at the start of the season or during the season.

"So it is not necessarily the last year of his contract at Arsenal Football Club."

Arsenal's first pre-season match is against Sydney FC on July 13.
