Rio Ferdinand has brazenly persuaded Ireland international Richard Dunne to surrender his No 5 shirt at QPR.

Having favoured the number since his days as a West Ham United player, Ferdinand recently founded #5 Magazine, an online magazine styled on Loaded and FHM.

Bizarrely, Ferdinand's passion for the number was intense enough to convince the former England international to speak to Dunne and ask if he would give him the jersey. Dunne, less precious about such issues, agreed.

"I joked with Richard and said I would give him a massage after matches and be his servant if he would be kind enough to give me the number five shirt," said Ferdinand yesterday.
