Marcus Rashford hails the return of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Manchester United fixtures pile up
After facing Watford on Tuesday night, United face a run of nine matches in December
Marcus Rashford has hailed the return of Manchester United stars Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the club approach a busy festive fixture list.
Pogba announced his return from a two-month layoff with an outstanding display in the 4-1 win over Newcastle United, grabbing a goal and an assist, while Ibrahimovic has made three substitute appearances.
And the young United striker is happy not just have their talents back in the squad but to have their personalities around the training ground and in the dressing room.
"Not even just thinking about football, but thinking about them personally too, it's hard to see your team-mates out for so long," Rashford told MUTV. "To have them all back now has brought a really happy vibe to the squad.
"I'm sure they're all really happy to be back playing again and if we can keep winning with them in the team it keeps everything rolling on."
After facing Watford on Tuesday night, United have nine matches in December including a Champions League trip to Russia, an EFL Cup quarter-final at Bristol City and the first Manchester derby of the season.
"It's great to have all the games and, while we prefer to take it one game at a time when it's so busy, by the time it gets to Christmas it calms down a bit and you can start to see pathways to certain tournaments and certain trophies."
