Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth Betting Preview: Latest odds, team news, tips and predictions

Chelsea can extend their unbeaten home run in all competitions to 16 matches when they welcome AFC Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

The Cherries are only a point off the top half of the table, but Eddie Howe's men are in danger of being sucked into a relegation battle as they sit just three points above Southampton in 18th.

Latest odds

Chelsea are chalked up as Paddy Power's 1/4 (1.25) favourites to take all three points, while the odds compilers offer 5/1 (6.0) that these two teams are forced to settle for a share of the spoils on this occasion.

Bournemouth have failed to win any of their last eight away matches in all competitions and can be backed at 11/1 (12.0) to buck that particular trend in west London.

Team news

The hosts are without a striker as Alvaro Morata remains injured and Michy Batshuayi has gone out on loan to Borussia Dortmund, so Antonio Conte may opt to play Pedro up front.

Jermain Defoe remains ruled out for the Cherries.

Chelsea to keep the Cherries out?

The Blues have managed a clean sheet in six of their last seven Premier League matches and will be determined to further extend that record here.

Chelsea are available at 10/11 (1.91) with Paddy Power to keep a clean sheet, or available at 11/10 (2.10) to win to nil.

Goals at both ends?

Bournemouth, though, have scored in six of their seven matches in all competitions since suffering a 4-0 defeat against Manchester City last month so will feel confident that they can make a mark.

Paddy Power offer 5/6 (1.83) that there are goals at both ends in this game, while the same firm go just 1/2 (1.50) that there are least three goals scored - selections that would have landed in the Carabao Cup clash between the sides last month.

Tips and predictions

Chelsea's defensive discipline, though, could prove pivotal ahead of Wednesday's clash and Paddy Power's 11/10 (2.10) quote that the Blues win without conceding at Stamford Bridge could represent decent value for punters.
