Barcelona January transfer news LIVE: Rafinha targeted by Arsenal

Arsenal are interested in signing in-demand Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, according to  Catalunya Radio, via Sport.

Rafinha is looking to leave Barca in January in search of regular first-team football, and he is a target for Celta Vigo and Inter Milan.

He could be allowed to leave on loan with a view to a €20 million permanent move, with Arsenal one of three clubs interested.


Barca still in for Griezmann

Spanish TV programme  El Larguero on Cadena SER (vis AS ) has revealed that Barcelona are still very much in for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.

While the signing of Philippe Coutinho put a temporary dampner on hopes of signing the French striker because of FFP, the report states that Barca will match the €100m buyout clause and offer a package to put Griezmann on a pay structure similar to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, the club's top earners. 


Arda set for Istanbul Basaksehir

Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan's move to Istanbul Basaksehir is set to be confirmed this week, according to the Turkish club's coach. 

The 30-year-old has yet to appear in La Liga this season, and Basaksehir manager Abdullah Avci said that Turan's move back to his home country will be announced Thursday or Friday.

Barcelona have agreed the €11.5 million purchase of Yerry Mina from Palmeiras, according to Sport .

The Colombia international has been the subject of a transfer tug of war between the Catalans and Palmeiras in recent weeks, with the latter demanding a fee that exceeds the first option already agreed.

But there has been a breakthrough, and Mina is now expected to arrive in Barcelona this week to finalise a transfer.

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic is wanted by Juventus, Liverpool and Arsenal, according to Diario Gol .

Rakitic is wary that his gametime may be diminshed by the signing of Philippe Coutinho from the Reds, but he is unwilling to move before the World Cup next summer.

If he and Croatia perform well, the report states, then offers are likely to multiply.

Liverpool's owners reportedly did everything in their power to keep the Brazilian at Anfield until the summer, hoping a loan would be reasonable given Coutinho is cup-tied in the Champions League.


Turan wants to stay at Barca

Arda Turan wants to stay at Barcelona and collect his full salary from the club, according to Cadena SER .

While the club are looking to offload Aleix Vidal, Gerard Deulofeu and Turan, the Turkey international - who has made no appearances since Ernesto Valverde took over last summer - reportedly wants to complete his contract at the Camp Nou.


Barca ahead of Man Utd in Griezmann chase

Manchester United face a battle to convince Antoine Griezmann to join them, with Barcelona considered favourites to land the Atletico Madrid star, according to ESPN .

The Red Devils retain an interest in the France international but he would prefer to stay in Spain, thus edging Barca to the front of the queue for his signature.

Griezmann is unlikely to leave the Liga club in January and although he remains open to a switch to Old Trafford, there are still reservations about swapping Madrid for Manchester.
