AFC Bournemouth v Arsenal Betting Preview: Latest odds, team news, tips and predictions

Having drawn five of their last seven Premier League matches, Arsenal will be keen to collect all three points when they travel to take on AFC Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners have avoided defeat in each of their seven league games since losing to Manchester United at the beginning on last month, but they have taken full points from just one of their last four league matches and have just one win in their last six outings, so there will be increased scrutiny on Arsene Wenger's men this weekend.

Latest odds

The Gunners have never been beaten by Bournemouth, winning five of their six meetings with the side from the south coast and Betfair Sportsbook make Wenger's side their 13/20 (1.65) favourites to come out on top again here, while the same firm go 16/5 (4.20) that the north Londoners settle for a sixth draw in eight league matches.

Bournemouth came agonisingly close to victory against Arsenal when they hosted Wenger's charges 12 months ago, but they surrendered a 3-0 lead and were forced to settle for a share of the spoils - Betfair Sportsbook offer 4/1 (5.0) that Howe's side are able to celebrate a famous victory this time around.

Team news

Arsenal have a number of injury worries, with whole host of players including Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Granit Xhaka - along with many others - all in danger of missing out.

Bournemouth have no fresh injury concerns, with former Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe, Tyrone Mings and Brad Smith all long-term absentees for the Cherries.

Goals galore?

The Cherries have scored no fewer than nine goals in their last four fixtures, but their defensive frailties mean they have won just one of those matches.

Arsenal have scored three goals in each of their last three matches against Bournemouth and Betfair Sportsbook offer 17/10 (2.70) that Wenger's men score more than two goals in this game, while the same firm offer just 8/15 (1.53) that there are more than two goals in the game.

The Gunners, though, have conceded 12 goals in their last six games - including four against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup last weekend - and Betfair Sportsbook offer a juicy 8/1 (9.0) that both teams score in both halves, and 6/5 (2.20) that Wenger's men return to winning ways in a match that produces at least three goals.

Tips and predictions

Arsenal played out a drab goalless draw with Chelsea in the League Cup at Stamford Bridge but better value could lie in backing the goals to flow yet again when these two teams meet.

It is, therefore, Betfair Sportsbook's 5/4 (2.25) quote for at least four goals to be scored that could put punters on a path to profit ahead of Sunday's showdown.
