Moussa Sissoko, the Newcastle United midfielder, has admitted he "loves" Arsenal and that he one day hopes to play in the Champions League.

The Frenchman, who according to the Daily Star, is being tracked by Arsenal scouts, told L’Equipe: "When I was young, Arsenal was my favourite club. I’ve always loved this club, I still love them.

"I have ambition. My goal is to play at the best clubs, playing the Champions League, win trophies, but today I am a Magpie and I am very happy.

"I have an agent that takes care of that. If something should happen, it will happen."

Another Frenchman, Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir, has spoken of his fondness for the north London club and admitted that Arsenal is the only club that could lure him away from France.

After scoring six goals in 14 Ligue 1 games this season Lyon are understood to be ready to cash in on Fekir and would command a fee of £8 million for the player, Metro said.

The player's father, Mohamed Fekir, said that his son would only consider a move to Arsenal.

"If he leaves, it will be for Arsenal. It is the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsène Wenger. He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench," he told Le Parisien.

Luis Enrique, the Barcelona coach, is ready to offload midfielder Sergio Busquets and Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all interested in signing the 26-year-old, the Express reports.

However, with Bayern Munich and Paris St-Germain also interested the trio of Premier League clubs with face a tough test.

Busquets, who has spent his entire playing career at the Catalan club, now looks set to follow former team-mate Victor Valdés to England – the goalkeeper has been training with the United squad.

Fabio Coentrao, the Real Madrid left-back is rumoured to be heading towards the Bernabéu Stadium exit door with Arsenal ready to swoop for the Portuguese.

The Portugal international is surplus to requirements at the Bernabéu and will command a fee of around £25 million.

Arsenal, though, will have to fight off Liverpool, Manchester United, AC Milan and Besiktas if they are to get their man in January, according to the Express.
