Arsenal supporters are becoming increasingly frustrated at their team's stagnating progress under Arsene Wenger, according to various reports (including a bookmakers which found that 68 per cent wanted the Frenchman to depart).
The club may have won their first silverware in nine seasons in May, claiming the FA Cup, but this season the club have been struggling in the Premier League and in Europe. Against great rivals Manchester United they were defeated 2-1 at home on Sunday, further straining relations.
This week a number of managers have been suggested to replace Wenger in the Emirates hot seat.
The names include Jurgen Klopp, the Borussia Dortmund manager, whose side plays Arsenal on Wednesday night.
And in addition Southampton's Ronald Koeman, Roberto Martinez of Everton and Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola have been mooted as possible replacements for Wenger.
