Maradona is a compatriot, friend and ex-teammate of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The former World Cup winner witnessed his pal’s Spurs side demolish Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool 4-1 in the Premier League - and was given a personalised shirt in front of the 80,827 capacity crowd at half-time.

Harry Kane opened the scoring for the home side at Wembley before a mistake from Dejan Lovren allowed the striker to set up Son Heung-Min to make it 2-0.

Mohamed Salah did pull one back for Liverpool shortly after, but Spurs restored their two-goal advantage just before the half-time break through Dele Alli - then Kane put the icing on the cake with a fourth 10 minutes into the second-half.

After the game Maradona, considered one of the greatest players of all time, was seen laughing and joking with Pochettino in the dressing room.

He was also pictured chatting to Tottenham stars Kane and Hugo Lloris.
