That is according to ex-Premier League star Danny Murphy.
The Blues boss revealed his frustration after beating Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Following Chelsea’s victory in Spain, they host title rivals Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (5.30pm).
Conte was angered Pep Guardiola’s team got an extra day’s rest to recuperate and prepare.
But former Liverpool midfielder Murphy outlines it is part and parcel of the game, and Chelsea won’t be the only side to suffer this season.
“No, I don’t [have sympathy with him],” Murphy said on Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“He’s a terrific manager and he comes across great, I like him, but on this one he’s wrong.
“There’s no way to have a perfect fixture list for all the teams in the Champions League, you can’t do it.
“There will be a week where this happens to City, probably United, and there will be one where they play Tuesday and Sunday and they have two more days rest than whoever they’re playing. It’s going to be like that.”
Conte has also bemoaned the travel times and disruption to sleep patterns of his players with the quick turnaround.
But Murphy looks back to his Liverpool days under Gerard Houllier and does not buy that excuse either.
Murphy added: “He’s saying they’re going to get back at 4 o’clock in the morning. Well, when I was at Liverpool, Houllier would not have that.
“We’d always stay the night in the country and get a night’s sleep.
“He showed us the stats for European away games, and our points total that year was the best out of all the big teams.
“There’s ways and means. And of all these top clubs, how many players do you see moaning about playing games? Has anybody come out and said: ‘Got to play another one Saturday’.
“They don’t because they love playing. Not one of them is going to say: ‘I’m tired’.”
Chelsea players have one more day to rest ahead of City’s visit, where a win will put Conte’s side level on points with the league leaders.
