That’s the view of Red Devils legend Roy Keane.

United are second in the table behind Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola’s men on top by goal difference.

Both sides have won five and drawn one of their opening six games.

United have also impressed in the Champions League, winning their first two group stage clashes.

Jose Mourinho’s men hammered CSKA Moscow 4-1 last night in Russia.

And Keane says United can beat City to the Premier League title as well as going far in the Champions League.

"United are back. They look like they will compete to win the big trophies," said Red Devils legend Keane.

"Over the last few years, you are thinking they might win a League Cup and the lesser trophies.

"But they are back competing and you expect them to be in the latter stages of the Champions League and winning the Premier League."

United are back in action on Saturday when Mourinho's men face Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

It's a chance for the Red Devils to return to the top of the league with Manchester City heading to Chelsea.
