Chelsea believe Eden Hazard will sign a bumper new £300,000-a-week contract at Stamford Bridge soon.

Real Madrid remain interested in the Belgian superstar but the 26-year-old is thought to be happy at the Blues.

The Telegraph say there is encouragement from both sides a new deal will be complete.

Chelsea have apparently told Hazard that they believe he can win the Ballon d’Or by staying in west London.

Diego Costa has completed his move from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year-old striker has initially signed on loan until the end of the season and will then join Atletico for £58m when their transfer ban is lifted.

Costa said: "I'm very happy to return home, I've always said it, Atletico is my home, I'm very, very happy.

"I'm looking forward to start contributing. I'm going to give my all for the team, as I always try to do.

"I'm very grateful to everyone… the whole club for making this move forward."

Chelsea great Pat Nevin has hailed Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.

"He is almost perfect in his technique as a striker and I make no apology for going on about it," Nevin told the club’s website.

"If you are a young kid wanting to play that position, do not look any further than him if you want to know exactly the right times and places to move to.

"If you want to learn how to hold up the ball, link up play, know how to go long then short to get involved, or the precise opposite to lose a marker, he is your man."
