Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes no one improves then they leave the club.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain moved to title-rivals Liverpool for £40m last month, claiming Jurgen Klopp could take his game to the next level.

While Kieran Gibbs joined West Brom in the hope that Tony Pulis can help him get back into the England squad.

But the Arsenal coach said: “Once someone takes the decision to leave I wish them well and focus on my squad, but just look at the performances of the players who left us and then come back to me about it.

“Learning is an attitude in life. It doesn’t depend on your geographical status, but more of the attitude in your brain.

“Are you ready to question yourself every day to see if you can improve?”

Arsenal also look set to lose Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil when their contracts run out in 2018, with both players desperate to win trophies elsewhere.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is unhappy with boss Arsene Wenger.

The 25-year-old has nine months left on his deal at the Emirates and talks of an extension have gone cold.

The Sun on Sunday report that Arsenal chiefs have offered Wilshere a new deal but he has knocked back their proposal.

It is claimed the central midfielder is still upset with his boss for sending him out on loan last term.

Wilshere spent the 2016/17 campaign with Bournemouth but a broken leg brought the move to a premature end.

He was heavily linked with a move away from the club in the summer, with West Ham and a host of Turkish clubs interested in his signature.

He made a cameo appearance in the Europa League win against Cologne and played a full 90 minutes in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup clash against Doncaster.

Starsport understand Wilshere is keen on a January switch to West Ham.

Olivier Giroud may be on his way to Everton when the transfer window rolls back around in January.

The 30-year-old was close to leaving North London in the summer when Arsene Wenger brought in £52m signing Alexandre Lacazette.

But after deciding to stay at the club, Giroud rejected a host of parties who were interested in his signature.

However, the Frenchman has only started one game for Arsenal this season, and with places up for grabs in the national side ahead of next year's World Cup, he may decide to finally leave the Emirates in January.

And according to the Daily Mirror, Everton are ready to go back in for the player who they tried to sign in the summer.

Ronald Koeman's side have struggled so far this season, losing four games in a row before Saturday's 2-1 comeback against Bournemouth.

The Toffees are still in desperate need of a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who they sold to Manchester United for £75m in the summer.
