That is the verdict of pundit and former Reds defender Steve Nicol.

Liverpool are on a winless run of four games in all competitions.

And the Merseyside outfit's defence has come under intense scrutiny, with many saying last season's problems have not been resolved.

And Nicol admits despite being a joy to watch going forward, Klopp must sort out Liverpool's weak defence.

“I wouldn’t go that far (to say he’s a flop),” Nicol said on ESPN FC.

“I think questions are starting to be asked, basically what he can do for Liverpool defensively.

“We’ve seen what he can do for them as an attacking force.

“Everybody pretty much agrees that they are great to watch, they score goals and it’s great.

“But regardless of that, it’s the whole defensive question.

“I think it’s time he started answering some questions why they let in so many goals.”

Liverpool will look to avenge their Carabao Cup defeat to Leicester in midweek when the two clubs meet this Saturday in the Premier League.
