Arsenal transfer news: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain expected to join Liverpool, not Chelsea

Oxlade-Chamberlain is out of contract at the Emirates next summer and could be sold before the end of the transfer window at 11pm on Thursday.

Starsport understand the midfielder has rejected a new contact offer worth around £150,000-a-week.

He won’t sign on at the club unless his terms of a four-year deal at £200,000-a-week are met.

And Arsenal’s players expect Oxlade-Chamberlain to be packing his bags for Anfield, The Mirror report.

It’s claimed the Gunners squad think it’s far more likely to he signs for Jurgen Klopp’s club than another interested party - London rivals Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger has publicly insisted the ex-Southampton man won’t be sold.

But with an offer of £35m set to be made by Liverpool, Arsenal may find that cash too much to turn down.

The Mirror add Oxlade-Chamberlain may be left out of the squad to face Liverpool tomorrow due to the doubts over his future.

Other names heading out of the north London club include Keiran Gibbs, who could join Watford for £7m, and Shkodran Mustafi.

Mustafi is available for £35m, and Juventus and Inter Milan are keen on a deal.
