The England international has been a revelation since joining Spurs from hometown club MK Dons for £5m in 2015.

And last September chiefs convinced him to commit his long-term future to Mauricio Pochettino’s side by signing a new six-year contract.

Allí is paid £60,000 a week at Tottenham - significantly less than he could earn at one of Europe’s big boys.

The 21-year-old is apparently aware of how his wages compare unfavourably to those of players performing at his level elsewhere though.

England midfielder Dele Alli played in Tottenham's 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday

The Daily Mail reckon that has prompted Alli, who's admired by United and Chelsea, to consider parting ways with his long-time agent Rob Segal.

If the midfielder takes on a new representative, he could push for a huge pay rise.

Tottenham’s current top earners are Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris, both on £110,000 a week including bonuses.

If Tottenham are unwilling to meet his potential demands and alter their rigid wage structure, that could put a host of top teams on red alert.

The Daily Mail claim United, Chelsea and Manchester City are "anxious to sign" Alli - who Tottenham would not consider offers for this month.

Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain, meanwhile, are said to be among the clubs monitoring his situation as well.

Each of those teams could more than treble Alli’s current wages and hand him a chance to challenge for glory in the Champions League.

The Daily Mail say Alli is keen to play abroad one day, which may play into Real and PSG’s hands if he can’t agree fresh terms with Tottenham and is not allowed to join a domestic rival.

Whether Alli will abandon Segal, who’s looked after him since he was a youngster, and move to another management agency remains to be seen though.
