David De Gea could still leave Manchester United for Real Madrid this month

Real Madrid are set to turn their attention back to Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

Zinedine Zidane no longer believes a Galactico signing is needed following the emergence of Marco Asensio, 21.

Kylian Mbappe had been targeted but a move is no longer on the cards for the Monaco forward.

Interest in De Gea may now be reignited with a £46m move being plotted, according to The Sun.

Madrid would want to sign United’s Spanish shot-stopper before the window shuts in under a fortnight.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has met with Ivan Perisic’s agent in recent days.

The Red Devils are still hopeful of forcing through a deal for the Inter Milan winger.

United have refused to meet the Serie A club’s £48m valuation, but the Mirror say a £39m offer remains on the table.

Perisic’s agent, Fali Ramadani, has also held talks with Inter officials in Milan.

The Croatia international, 28, remains Jose Mourinho’s only outstanding summer transfer target.

Anthony Martial has quashed any questions over his future by insisting he is out to win everything with Manchester United this term.

Tottenham have reportedly already had a bid rejected for Martial, who admits he wants to feature more regularly this season.

But he insists his focus is on winning silverware with United.

Martial said: “The goal is to win as many titles as possible. That is what we tried to do last year and it's what we are going to try to do this year.

“Personally, my main goal is to win titles and medals, of course. I also want to play the most.

“I have always wanted to play since I was young and so now I've got to do my best to win the title. I do set myself targets for appearances and goals but I keep that to myself.”
