Danny Rose: Tottenham won't sell the star to Man Utd or Chelsea

The England and Spurs ace wants to leave White Hart Lane and is desperate to secure a move to Manchester United.

Rose has launched an outspoken attack on the club and questioned their lack of ambition.

The defender urged Spurs to sign more world class stars and admitted he would be open to offers if he could secure a huge deal elsewhere.

Rose publicly spoke out after learning United boss Jose Mourinho was interested in bringing him to Old Trafford.

But Starsport understands United have now ditched plans to sign Rose with Spurs also adamant he will not be leaving this summer.

It is understood the London outfit reckon selling Rose would leave them in danger of appearing to pander to his wishes.

Chelsea are also interested in the left-back, but Rose has no interest in joining the champions and had set his heart on going to United.

But that will not happen before the transfer window closes and Rose will be forced to remain at Spurs.

Chairman Daniel Levy, who fined Rose two weeks wages and made him apologise, is unwilling to negotiate with either Man Utd or the Blues.

It means Spurs look set to win their second summer transfer battle with United.

Mourinho wanted to sign Eric Dier but were put off by the £50m asking price and turned to Nemanja Matic instead.

Now the United boss will have to wait until next summer to make another attempt to land Rose, 27.

In the controversial interview, Rose, who earns £65,000-a-week at Spurs, said: “I will make sure I get what I am worth.

“I am not playing as well as I have done not to get paid what I think I am worth.”
