That’s according to Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini, who says the Premier League duo have "moved heavily" on the winger.

Chiesa has spent the past 10 years on the books at Fiorentina after joining the Serie A outfit from U.S. Settignanese as a kid.

And he enjoyed an impressive breakthrough last season, racking up 34 appearances after making his first-team debut against Juventus.

Chiesa’s rise has seen him earn international recognition as well, with caps coming at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 levels for Italy.

And it seems his performances have turned the heads of Chelsea and United scouts.

Ceccarini, who writes for Tutto Mercato Web, revealed all about their interest on Twitter.

He claims Chelsea and United have "moved heavily" on Chiesa - suggesting they’re very keen on him.

Fiorentina are desperate to keep the 19-year-old in Florence this summer though.

And Ceccarini reckons they are throwing everything at getting him to sign a new deal.

Chiesa is currently under contract with Fiorentina until 2021.
