Man Utd transfer news: Ivan Perisic is wanted and talks are back on

Perisic is on Jose Mourinho’s wanted list but getting a transfer done has proven tricky.

Inter have stubbornly refused to accept any less than £48m and also want Antony Matial thrown in on loan.

United aren’t interested in losing the Frenchman and a deal for Perisic has subsequently stalled.

But The People say chief executive Ed Woodward is now back in talks with the Croatia star’s agent Fali Ramadani in an attempt to get a deal done.

And it’s suggested he may sanction paying Inter’s £48m valuation in order to get the player on board.

Mourinho has signed Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic so far this summer.

On Friday he suggested that 75 per cent of his transfer business is already done.

He said: “I am happy with the effort the club did and that the club managed to do 75 per cent of the work before the Premier League starts and until Aug. 31.

“If the remaining 25 percent don't arrive I will not moan, just go with everything I have to try to win every match we play."
