Oliveirense starlet Bruno Amorim is on the brink of joining the club.

The Portuguese club's communications director Antonio Jose Leite has revealed that 19-year-old winger Amorim will make the move to Old Trafford.

"He (Amorim) had been promoted to the main squad but the scouting was already aware and decided to take him there (to United)," Leite told Lusa News Agency via Noticias Ao Minuto.

"At this time the business is 50 per cent done and he can have an excellent contract ahead.

"The contract will shortly be announced, but he is a future bet at United.

"We’ll receive training rights, because he’s always been trained here, although in monetary terms it may not be more than that because there may be other exchanges.

"These details are not yet defined. But the training rights and future sales of the player are guaranteed gains."

Manchester United are in talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic about returning to the club, Jose Mourinho has confirmed.

"You know, he's injured, he needs time to recover," Mourinho said at a press conference ahead of Sunday's game against West Ham. "He's not ready to play tomorrow.

"It's not something urgent, it's nothing that you are desperate to have it done or not done.

"I just think that he was very clear by showing that what he did last year was not enough for him. He thinks he can do more.

"He wants more at football's highest level, so we are having conversations and we are discussing the possibility of him staying with us for the second part of the season."

Manchester United are the favourites to sign Tottenham left-back Danny Rose

Meanwhile, bookmaker BetStars have United as the favourites to land Tottenham defender Danny Rose.

Rose sparked speculation over his future earlier this week by criticising the club's lack of signings in a newspaper interview.

BetStars Director of Trading said Ian Marmion said: "Danny Rose may have publicly apologised for the comments he made earlier this week criticising Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy, but the odds suggest that the damage has already been done, with Manchester United leading the chase for the England international.

"The Red Devils are the clear favourites to sign Rose at 11/8, with Premier League rivals Chelsea currently priced at 4/1 and Manchester City at 5/1.

"The lure of playing at Old Trafford could be too much to resist for Rose, so we’re calling it that he’ll be wearing a Manchester United shirt before the transfer window closes."
