That’s according to ESPN, who claim Barca are not looking to let their midfielder go this summer.

Reports in Spain this week have claimed that Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are all keen on the 25-year-old.

According to Diario Gol, the three English giants have made contact with Roberto and he is willing to listen to offers.

But ESPN say the Premier League trio will fail in any attempts to lure the Spaniard away from the Nou Camp.

It is said that Barca believe no club would pay Roberto’s £36m buyout clause and they have no intentions of letting him leave following Neymar’s exit.

Barcelona are instead looking to hand their versatile ace a new contract and bump up his release clause substantially.

Roberto last penned fresh terms at Barca in 2014 with his current deal running until 2019.

But he has become a more prominent part of their squad in recent seasons and is set to rewarded.

And new boss Ernesto Valverde is a fan of Roberto and is looking to deploy him regularly in Barca’s midfield this term.

The news is a blow to the transfer hopes of United, Chelsea and City who will now have to look elsewhere for reinforcements this summer.
