Using information from the website Twitter Counter we have compiled the 20 clubs who have the most followers on their most popular account (not including secondary foreign language accounts which many big teams have).
Five English clubs make the top 20 - although last year’s runners-up Tottenham and 2016 champions Leicester are nowhere to be seen.
Manchester United - often hailed as the world’s biggest club by fans and players - do not top the list.
