Sanchez, 28, is about to enter the final 12 months of his Arsenal deal.

His future has consequently been the subject of much speculation, even more so since the Gunners failed to secure Champions League football for next season.

German giants Bayern have been heavily linked with the forward along with the likes of Manchester City and Paris St-Germain.

But whoever is in charge of Chile's Twitter feed jumped the gun yesterday, naming Sanchez as a player for the Bavarian outfit in their latest squad announcement.

However they soon spotted their error and replaced the Bayern crest with that of the Gunners.

Chile are preparing to take part in the Confederations Cup this summer.

Juan Antonio Pizzi’s men will face Germany, Australia and Cameroon in Russia.

Sanchez has enjoyed an impressive season for Arsenal, despite their failure to secure a top four spot.

He's scored 29 goals across all competitions and will be hoping to add to that tally when the Gunners face Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
