The 23-year-old's potential return to Old Trafford has been the biggest transfer saga for the summer with United still hopeful of completing a £100m deal.
His much-coveted signature has seen his price-tag go through the roof and question marks have been raised over whether he, or any other player, is worth such an amount.
Hatem Ben Arfa, who joined Paris St-Germain on a free from Nice earlier in the summer, believes his compatriot does warrant such a vast fee.
The ex-Newcastle winger also believes Pogba will be a hit at United if the blockbuster move does go through.
"It’s a huge deal," Ben Arfa told French newspaper Le Parisien.
"If Manchester United are investing so much into him, it’s because they know what they’re doing.
"Of course, Paul will have a lot of responsibilities due to it, but I have faith in him.
"I think he’ll be able to impose himself very quickly."
Ben Arfa was also asked what the better deal was, landing Pogba for £100m or himself on a free, replying: "It's Paul Pogba for £100m."
